Construct the Most Reliable and Flexible
Multiple Redundant Connections for Industrial Automation
- Fast fault recovery < 20 ms
- Flexible, unlimited redundant network expansions
- Live node expansion without system interruptions
- Interoperation with other redundant protocols
- Tremendous savings on cabling costs
Moxa's Turbo Chain is a highly flexible self-healing Ethernet technology designed for distributed and complex industrial networks. This innovative breakthrough allows the creation of multiple redundant networks beyond the limitations of current redundant ring technology.
Turbo Chain is easy to configure and manage. Simply define the Head port (forwarding port) and Tail port (blocked port) of the switch chain's edge switches. If at any time a segment of the chain fails, the network is able to recover in less than 20 ms, even with large networks that have up to 248 switches. Turbo Chain can directly interoperate with Turbo Ring or other redundant protocols, such as RSTP and STP. You can also create an independent ring by connecting the head and tail switches.
Turbo Chain saves a significant amount on development costs, including for time, effort, cables, and Ethernet ports, compared with ring coupling solutions or network redesign. All of Moxa's industrial managed Ethernet switches support Turbo Chain to allow our switches to be quickly and easily deployed in any type of complex redundant network and offer fast fault recovery, flexible construction, unlimited expansion, and cost-effective configuration.
